Taste the best cheeses at the Festival of Our Cheeses

Returning year after year, the Festival of Our Cheeses is one of Montréal en Lumière classics and a great occasion to discover them. The cheese industry in Quebec is booming and I have to admit that between the primed cheeses, the new ones and the classics, I am having a hard time keeping up the pace and tasting them all!
Did you know that we are producing Mozzarelle de bufflonne, raw-milk or ewe cheeses in Quebec " And that’s without mentionning the undefeatable Louis Cyr, Louis d’Or, Alfred or Comtomme, Cheddar ÃŽle-aux-Grues, Migneron de Charlevoix and Riopelle de l’Isle !
All this to say there are many cheeses to discover and a lot to learn from the know-how of our cheesemakers. We can be proud of what is being made here and this is why I like events like the Festival of Our Cheeses so much. For its 11th edition, this event will allow us to meet cheesemakers, and learn more about the different products and what defines their character while tasting different wine and beer!
It will take place from February 23 to February 25 at the complexe Desjardins Grande-Place and the access is free.
